Bicycling and Motorbiking in the French Alps

Bicycling Motorbiking French Alps: whether you ride a bike or motorbike, you will enjoy the famous route des  grandes Alpes which is one of Europe’s iconic cycling routes.

This breathtaking road takes you through the stunning landscapes of the French Alps, covering 26 alpine passes, including 7 above 2000 meters high, from Geneva to Nice. This legendary journey attracts cyclists and motorcyclists from around the world, offering an unforgettable adventure with panoramic mountain views, challenging climbs, and thrilling descents. The
apartment is ideally located on this famous road trip, near the
Little Saint Bernard Pass, making it a perfect base for riders
looking to explore the region.

The route follows the Italian border and crosses the French Alps from North to South, ie, from Thonon les Bains up to Menton, on the French Riviera.

FYI, the whole trip is a 720 kilometer route. Depending on time avaibility, you can challenge yourself by riding your bike or motorbike for the whole distance.

Mountain biking

For those who prefer the downhill mountain biking, have a look at the Bike Park des Arcs and the one in TignesBoth offer incredible trails for sports enthusiasts, featuring various difficulty levels, jumps, and technical sections.

Lifts allow bikers to cover many miles without having to pedal any uphill.

Trekking

If you enjoy trekking, numerous hiking routes are just around the area,
providing scenic landscapes, fresh mountain air, and diverse terrain.

Make sure you get the distance, estimated time and difficulty of the route before starting.
